Best days behind him?
Is he still Burke's #1?

2025 Purse earnings so far----11.8 million
2024 Purse earnings-----------14.6 million
2023 Purse earnings-----------15.1 million

He's still Burke's #1 driver, but he has so many horses you can only drive so many, plus he drives for other people.

Are his best days behind him, his bank account would say no.

Takter has had a down year. That has hurt his earnings.

He's probably going to end the year with over 13 million in earnings which will be good for #3 overall behind Dunn/Bartle

Other than Karl, Takter had a bad year last year too

Actually Nancy had a good year in 2024, purse earnings of 6.2 million, only 2.7 million this year.

Burke has had a good year but also an odd year in that his best have been more Midwest centric.  Ronnie has the drive on his two best - Loua Dipa and Lou Print.  Burke doesn’t really have any top end trotting talent outside of Lexus Kody.  Yannick would typically back fill any Burke holes with the best from Takter but as said above she has no top colts or fillies

ngc3 Written by and spoken about by let me guess, people whose best days never were  ngc3

Those successful are a blueprint to be successful, a living lesson.  They're our mentors, motivators, what we should strive to be if they're ethical and  if you know them and they share even more so.

Waiting for the first vulnerability of the most successful people ever in your own sport / business and shitting on them, who knew I was surrounded by billionaire master of the universe's at Plop over and above everyone in the racing industry.

What a bunch - jealous, vindictive, small...

Yannick's year is tied to his business. Period. He's 46, but it's not the age, but the body that bears that burden. Very different driving 1500 horses a year vs. 4000 (year after year). His primary, first-call clients have a sub-par year, so does he. You can make up for some of that driving for others, but it ain't so easy. LOL. I've long thought YG's business, results, status, etc., were somewhat contingent on one or two trainers.

Every driver is hired for around a minute and 50 or so seconds. That's it. It's their job to get re-hired, LOL.

This is a good perspective - especially with Yannick.  Since 2023 he has driven 1800 more races than Dex and 1400 more than Scotty. Two guys that are quite a bit younger.

Unlike alot of the top drivers who take off part of all of the winter, Yannick drives full time at Yonkers which is good for 3 million in purses

Don't forget he owns pieces of some horses as well and that is a little extra income

I wasn't speaking to his income, but yes, I know he goes partners on horses.

My point was they care about money not that stats at some point so they all start to slow down.  It may not be his best year but it certainly isn't his worse and its far from a bad year
