The Secretariat Club, Thursday, 9/25/25
« on: September 24, 2025, 11:06:57 PM »

Looking ahead, B@A & Santa Anita have big races this Saturday, and in Dayton a big card as well....with Remington's OK Derby card Sunday, and couple more at SA there too again.

I'll hit 3 T-Bred races Thursday, yes, MSW on the dirt, what else, I'm a simple, predictable man.  HI 2nd, and CD 5th and 8th.  Now HI we left it Muddy, and I think lack of heavy rain between now and then it should open Fast - Good, I'm estimating the same for CD despite they left off Fast, some heavy rains likely between now and then there.  Fast - Good, I'm not sure despite studying the weather, please keep and eye on it.

No Harness races for moi tomorrow, but with the light commitment it helps me gear up for several dozen quality choice races between Friday - Sunday and then try to narrow that down to somethings that are predict-and-winnable.

Good Luck!   ;D

Goona put in my bet for PIC 6 at HAWTHORNE today.
Very tough sequence. But a carryover for last 2 racin days.
I'm singlin in the 3rd leg, which has many many ponies. Reson,I do that is others will be carryin more and should they hit so be it. But I prefer to use selections in other races where others need to cut down. And MY GOODNESS,in some races I'M forced to pic old ponies. 8 and 9 years old. But some ponies just like to run and not retire. ORRRR TRAINERS are just greedy BUMS,that are waitin for them to break down in race and AMBULANCE off.
A friend of mine had a great horse back in day. So great,I can't remenber the name. As a 3 year old DEAD HEATED,with the great one MORE THAN READY in the HUTCHISON at GULFSTREAM. Got injured in the race and layed off a year. Came back and started winnin again. He know a 6 year old. Can't member the race but it be a GRADE 1 in NEW YORK runnin against the 7 year old,the great"LEFT BANK",who beat him and he came in second. LEFT BANK went on that year and became "HORSE of the YEAR". Died from sumthin shortly after that. I just remembered my guy's horse. He be"SUMMER NOTE". So older do like to run. Although a sad note to SUMMER. He retired after that race,as e was prone to injuries. So the owner had a large agreage farm in COLORADO. Put out to pasture. The fuc managin it,in winter at times paid no attention to ponies. They in stall or out in pasture. The horse was found dead in spring layin outside in pasture. Anyhow lets continue.

HERE ME BET and it be tough.

RACE 3.....3,4
RACE 4.....2,6
RACE 5.....5
RACE 6.....5,6,7
RACE 7.....2,4
RACE 8.....6

Total bet for a BUCK......$24.00

GOOD LUCK everyone as I sure need it on this catastrophy.

Bro, you have a great memory.  Here is the video of that Hutchinson race at GP that resulted in a dead heat between Summer Note and More Than Ready...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ov7xp3a0Clc

I'm going to do as promised, keep an eye on the Hawthorne pools today for anomalies and opportunities.  Other than that I only scheduled 3 races to possibly wager on which one is ready to roll with bets, the other two we'll see and then prepare for Friday and Saturday as there are more my type opportunities out there.

Good Luck Buddy!    ;D

I usually don't go for the sentimental wagers unless it's a friends horse, a member's here horse, that I'm a sucker for occasionally, especially when my roi is + with them.  But good mention.

I hit a 4 horse field in Hawthorne race 1 on Sunday, Attersee, 1st time starter, paid 5/2 as well.

Easy to remember my winners, recently, so few sadly... ngc3

New strategy today because what I've been doing ain't working. Steamlining my tickets a bit. They have been to pricey and even the winners are losers
Belmont early pick 5
1,6/2/All/1,3-7,9-11/7
$72 bucks
Good luck to everyone!!!

Thee fucking idiots think it's an insult if you bet 10 cents 1 or 2 dollars.

A savvy experienced wagerer saying I'd like to hit more for less.

They'll string you up here.

Sometimes an entire p5 pool comes down to zero or one .50 cent wager, if that was a straight 50 cents would it make less of a gambler or possibly a super pro, possibly a psychic or even an inside crook to pull that off.

So much for that whole 2 dollar millionaire bullshit.

The more money we spend the less we know unless we're loading up on something where it's not likely to sweep a pool or win the majority of it or win a lot.

BTW, Good luck buddy!  tmbz1

Yeah man, I've been playing just a little to fast and loose recently. With my strategies and my ticket prices, routinely well over a hundred bucks, if you don't hit at least one good one a week, the losses add up very quickly. You go through a cooler, like you had until yesterday, one could get in world of hurting really fast. I love my all button, but recently I have found myself using it to much, thus higher tickets, thus bigger losses or smaller wins. I hit that one at Gulfstream for a grand on Sunday. Well that's great, but with the way my tickets have been, that pays for 7 or 8 future wagers.. I just need to tone it down a hair.

If you can put 72 on that you can do this...

$36 dd 1,6/2 (x 14.06 = nice payout)

I am going to reverse engineer all of it, yours, mine, so I can learn and in real time and react then, which would be now.

Really good start. Not this time DD.. This morning before work I was reviewing my betting patterns and habits the last few months. I discovered that I have been betting way more then I normally do. I went through that heater and got to fast and loose. Now I've cooled off and the losses are adding up to quickly. My other issue is I was playing to many tracks. 4 pick 5's a day was 600 bucks. Not sustainable for a lowly painter.. especially going through a losing streak. There have been many bets that I made that haven't been posted on here as well, for whatever reason...to busy, 3 legs had already run, whatever. The fact of the matter is I got to reign it in a tad..Pun intended ;D

See that is a perfect example as stupidity on my part..Bello always follows through with his horizontals. Less tracks and pick 5's and more of that.. although betting that amount could add up quickly as well. Something to ponder

Stupidity is ex / all and 1/2 and 2/1 show up, so either bet 10 on that at 2 or 3-1 or handicap it and omit and load up on the long ones.  That's what I do wrong amongst other stuff we've seen.

We're going to polish up because we're, you're doing the real heavy lifting, now we have to max capitalize.

You're in a better position, because your numbers have the potential for 10's of thousands, hundreds of thousands in payoffs, so being conservative and not greed and exposing more is something to weigh, but the potential payoff says at least a 5 dd pt wheel and cover the cost of the p5 ticket?

Last night if I would of hit that tri and sup, is an example of a race I could take down 10k instead of 700.  At 61-1 I think you can wheel and fucking backwheel tris and sups, duh, or 20wp instead of 2wpx2.

Dylan Davis was hoping sis beat him!

I agree MTP, we've seen pools sweepers, I saw one .10 super at Hawthorne pay $40k the whole pool, was a while ago.

ROI is what matters.

That the money earned is happening and it is significant enough that it out value the risk.

Wagering is as deep a science as predicting winning outcomes.
