I am devastated to hear that Scott Ehrlich has passed away. My sincere condolences to the entire Ehrlich family and friends. He was a pioneer for the sport and just a fantastic person as well as one the best track announcers Ive ever heard. I know he was battling cancer receiving radiation therapy. This comes as no surprise due to the nature of his cancer and the most recent photos of him. He became noticeably bald and had a very strange overall look to him. Im also aware that being from Jewish decent like myself, that the odds are and were stacked up against him. I implore everyone to reach out to his family and express your condolences. The world lost a great man today and I wish him a wonderful journey. I really hope that Lisa and the kids will be able to uphold his passion for business and be able to collect anything that is owed to him. In honor of Scott Go Cubbies!!
Will there be a memorial? Probably not bc Erlich was a notorious cheapskate. Will there be an estate sale? I'd like to bid on his pleather gym bag with the duct tape holding it together. Maybe I'll even bid on his collection of Thunder Ridge programs and bundle of losing tickets from the 1988 Hawthorne meet - when Erlich cried like a pussy every time Dave Magee lost at 6/5.Adios Mr Erlich. Hated by many, loved by few. Annoying to all
There’s a post on his Facebook page from four hours ago. If this is a prank it’s not funny
