I am all for anyone who is in a position of authority, notoriety, or whatever, advocating against CAW's and for a fair and equal playing field for wagering. I don't think Portnoy is someone who can really bring about change, nor does he have the respect and credibility to be a catalyst for change, but him talking about it is hopefully better than not. I hope it brings others to the efforts. His positions and handling of labor relations, corporate culture, etc., makes him a bit of a heretic and many feel he is anti-labor. His actions with his company were very controversial, and illegal, but I don't know that he ever followed through with his threats, although he was warned by the NY State DOL and a NY Congresswoman; which is never a good thing, LOL. He was investigated by the NLRB and he reached an informal settlement with them. I guess his gambling got him into trouble many years ago, but I don't know if that helps the cause here, LOL.I think his comments, thoughts, and actions related to women, rape, his racist comments, and sexual harassment, are deplorable, and least for me, that in and of itself invalidates any credibility he may have had. I don't know if the sexual harassment claims were ever concluded, but after everything he's said, his views, etc., where there's smoke there's fire. Not my kind of guy.
so Dave Portnoy, a guy who....6) created fake presses the day before Super Bowl LIII forcing him to placed in a holding cell7) in November 2021 was allegedly accused of raping three women and video taping them without their consentand that is the guy who can blow everything up? wow
