Unfortunately they only race 4 months at each track. And the slots run year round. Unlike the M1 that relies on handle to survive. Don’t compare apples to oranges
That is true but except Hambletonian and Meadowlands Pace day the racing sucks there. If I wanted to see 5 amateur races and night, I'd rather go to a county fair in Ohio
What about the 12 million from The State of New Jersey? And now the money Freehold was getting....
Hmm. 12 million a year to race year round vs 100 million a year.To race 4 months. I wonder who has the best deal
Yes I know and Blockbuster was a huge company back then. Fortunately the race horse industry puts a shit ton of money back in the states coffers
For whatever reason you want to point to, however the purse $$ is generated, bottom line it's a better product, especially when the amount of races actually being raced are factored in and OBVIOUSLY the purses.Shame it doesn't get the pari-mutual support it merits.
Absolutely. It merits support in our eyes, not this new public under 40 crowd playing Fortnite all weekend. I thought why not host that stupid shit at the tracks. Whatever it takes to get these people in the building who don't even know the sport exists.
Yea the general public would rather see condos and big box stores on the green space. That is why they keep voting for politicians that support horse racing
Hey bustout, what I do for a living is above your pay grade, OK!
