Does anyone remember a parlay bet that NYRA offered, probably in the 80s, where you could link two or more win, or WP, or WPS bets? If several of your selections clicked, a small investment could garner a healthy return! Thanks in advance.
My guess is you're referring to the "Grand Slam" wager.

There are 4 legs.

In legs 1,2 and 3 your election has to run 3rd or better.

In leg 4, your selection must win.

They still have the wager.

Thanks for exposing a bet I made quite frequently.
Matter of fac. Went SATURDAY to HOFFMAN EASTATES OTB. Went to the young kid. Said: Give me the 7th at BELMONT. $1.00 part wheel GRAND SLAM. He goes punchin sumthin in. The 9 is out. That the second leg. He goes you want a super instead. Tommy who I know slides over and instructs the new kid on the bet I'M makin. He finds it and then starts over. Wen done he apoligizes to me. I say's don't worry. I'm most likley the only one makin that bet here in last year. I bet $24.00,got back,$28.60 only because I hit the bet one sraight. Hopin to at least hit 4.

  • Trigger: Santa Anita 6 horse field 2 scratches, down to 4 entries and they have a tri & super, go figure  ngc3...I hit a tri in a 4 horse field there yesterday paid $46 for a buck...last week I think a $50+ horse won in a 4 horse field too.  California, warm and sunny, but anything's possible if Baffert fails!  ;D
