NY Sires Steaks goes UP IN SMOKE

Buffalo cancelled today .... poor air quality due to smoke from fires in Eastern Canada.  What's next?

Not a bad thing honestly, unless you really want guys to cook their young horses in the second leg of the sire stakes due to air conditions.

The air quality in Buffalo, and surrounding areas is pretty bad. Buffalo Raceway made a great call, by canceling.

Seems to be bad west to Pittsburgh, and south into Virginia.  NYC looked like dusk around 3 PM

Funny you ask, saw a post on InstaGram from NYClass videoing all the carriage horses heading to Chelsea early. City shut them down because of shit air quality.

There will be fire and smoke next year for the NYSS races if Jeffery closes VD.But, since he has the only 5/8 track in NY, he will probably host them at Tioga.

No US harness cancellations today. I thought The Meadows would be bad with smoke moving west. Maybe they can send Roger out to inspect.  ngc3
