I'm going out on a limb here and saying there is 25% chance Confederate is scratched and if he races there is 100% certainty he is blocked from his knee down.  He's got a bad wheel that they have been working on all week long!

Yes, you are out on a limb here!

Did you see how both knees were shaved to the skin?  They have been working on him night and day all week long.  He had the miracle juice in him today.

The cut on his knee was pretty insignificant

Certainly, the 3yo trotters are not exactly the greatest crop this year

Tactical Approach came from a long way back but just a MEH crop IMO

1.) Agree that the 3yo trotting crop is not the best; however the 3yo pacing group is very solid and 5+ deep with 1 top colt.

2.) Observations on today:

a.) Too many 1/9 shots; and one on a trotter no less (who lost)

b.) Race 1: MM's Dream looked like her feet were stinging her down the stretch

c.) Race 10: What was Svanstedt thinking with his drive on Bond??  That kind of drive was appropriate for a low purse "tune up" race.

d.) Race 13: Confederate was really impressive.  Definitely ranks within the "inner circle" of 3 year old colts over the past 50 years.  IMS looked like he just didn't fire .. the kind of race where he might scope with some sickness.

e.) Race 15: Agree that the winner is the best of this year's 3yo crop, but, overall not an impressive grouping.

Confederate was a beast...again!
Alrajah One is another who impressed me.
Sylvia Hanover won easily.

It's Academic & It's My Show didn't fire.
Seven Colors stopped & probably needed lasix.

I didn't like Miller's drive on Ken Hanover.
Zeron continues to impress in big races.

Any word on how this knee laceration happened? I would think DC would have a 24hr. guard stationed outside his stall.
