Interesting that they would stand him here, as the math if they take him to NZ is almost a no lose proposition:

Breed 250 mares $ e.g. $7,000 for $1.75mm/year for three years.  If he produces, then they have a goldmine; if he is a dud, they got their money back if you net out expenses etc.
