They mention he made his money in the stock market? I thought I read that his parents were VERY VERY WEALTHY and he was left money. Does anyone know the facts?

Thought he has a music career too—sharp guy, been in the business a long time.

LOL correct...carry for sunday is 40k....and if they wager another 5k fresh money sunday...total pool will be 45k and they'll pay 25 percent (11k and change) to the most winners...resulti ng carryover for next friday will be 33k and change...A DWINDLING CARRYOVER!!!!

peter kleinhans marketing idea is worse than his dangerous driving on a racetrack,,,stick to the stock market goof

Well, they changed the bet, so that the 25% pay out is from the new money only, not the total pool.......

Which is the way I thought it worked originally and seems logical.

Kind of like Mohawks Pentafecta bet only pays out 25% if there is more than 1 winner. (I know it's not exactly the same thing, but it builds pools)

Where did you see this change?

Just yesterday Dave Little wrote about the bet being a smashing success.
He also quoted the $0.20 payoff prices which were reflected on the feed. Who was able to make $0.20 wagers? Not me. It was $1 for me

It will never reach the numbers he thinks, for the CAW's will hit it.

Will never know unless they get someone in there to run it who has a basic understanding of how to operate a wagering system

i like the initiative, its worth a try
not sure why the guy has to put in his own money ??
regardless they have tweaked it so the carryover grows
i think a pick 7 would have been better
and please do not whine about the $1 base
this be is for real gamblers with money, not people with $50 to spend on the whole card betting $.20 tri

Who cares at least it’s something else to chase and take a shot to have action .

Agree. But would t it be nice if they properly explained the payout rules and minimum bet denomination?
They might not be able to cause they clearly dont understand the wager themselves

“We understand there was some confusion over the first night’s payout,” said the Meadowlands’ COO/GM Jason Settlemoir. “We wanted to make it clear to all of our customers exactly how the initial $50,000 seed money was classified. Moving forward, standard carryover rules apply to this PK8 wager. We hope to see this new wager catch on with our customers.”

And who exactly caused the confusion? Certainly not settlemoir or his team correct?

What a clown show

Pick 8 takes more action this week, 14k in new money, (only 5k last week) but two people hit 8 of 8 winners for $26,500 each.

The payout was 3 times what a $1 parlay on those 8 races would have paid ($8775.38).
