Calling you an imbecile is an insult to all stupid and mentally challenged people. But it's OK, you're one of them.
Touche....I try to stay out of the BS on the board, but this guy lives in a dreamworld which does not recognize how the likes of Larry Rolla were so despicable to the game. All the guys he has been interviewing were complicit with Larry. Fact. He is likely holding it over their heads to go on his show. The scumbag.
As someone who watched Larry Rolla at the "Mighty M", I always put him into the 2nd tier of reinsman. I never thought that he was as talented as some of the great ones who raced there. And while I read the opinions about him, I wonder if the "stories" he spins tend to "over value" his significance in our sport. I'm sure every trainer/driver has some "juicy" tales to tell about the backstretch. The fact that he, likes millions of others have a "podcast" is no great feat. I guess, in the end, watch it or not. If you believe him, great. If not, that's good too!
Right, Larry extorted Billy O' to do an interview. And Elvis is still alive hanging out with Michael Jackson.
Everyone who was there knows Peter and Elaine ran the stable. Larry was a lazy piece of shit criminal and anyone who endorses what he did then or now is scum.
Larry was an errand boy on a leash for the boys. Hear how he says he told made guys he doesn't take orders from them and TOLD them how much they had to pay for him to get a number over? Like I said, I never met the guy. But I heard of him and his bullshit antics. My cousin is Buddy Scarpa. Larry used to warm up in specific color brace bandages to signal if the number was on at Monticello. Now all these guys he mentions? Lou Gigante got me stalls in 1985 at M1 as a kid. I was in the barn with Louie, John Torre and Randy Perry. His good horse was Happy Bippy then, I would paddock for Randy every week "filly named Bo Scots Sonata, I have a great memory" and just shitted around with Louie's guy, John and Stevie "Dean Martin" Torre. Know who was never there or mentioned? The guy who says he was their go to. Because he was just a fucking puppet and thought he was someone. Those guys never talked shit. Never wrote books. Never ran their mouths. Because they WERE what everything knew they were. Larry was tossed like a used tampon when he got stupid and run out of the game. Because he had a BIG FUCKING MOUTH. Same as he does now. Only reason he was left alone is they knew he was harmless and delusional. Same as now. He thinks he's Sammy The Bull. Difference being Sammy is on social media and YouTube and is REAL. Larry thinks he's getting a movie deal.
The stupid cigarillos singing "Drinking champagne and feeling no pain, till early mornin" OMG The fucking El Dorado convertible! YELLOW
Stevie loved Dean Martin. I remember when Billy Martin showed up at the M1 stable gate looking to kick the shit out of him.
How do you make such bold comments on somebody you never met?
I go back a long way with him. We were stabled together at Atlantic City. Stevie was actually third leading driver one meet. Gagliardi was leading driver that year.
This is why I laugh at these cunts here. Shit like this never happened back then, know why? None of them would DARE FUCKING SAY anything they do here to anyone's face. Back then I learned more in that one meet from those people about everything in the business than the years following combined. Real horsemen, businessmen, wiseguys, good guys, you name it. John told me he didn't say it just cause Stevie was his kid, but he drove with a pair of basketballs. They didn't have much when I was there, didn't drive a lot then. I learned from Randy, he had a poultice I HATED because before going to the paddock I had to get this stuff off. But it was his concoction that used seaweed and that filly's legs were drum tight ice cold. One day Stevie said wanna take a ride he needed a hand. Had to move furniture off a truck into Joe DeFranks condo in Harmon Cove from Garden State. Yes of course, so we go get it done no biggie. Couple days later Joe DeFrank calls me into the race office "why do I remember 223" but over PA said please come to race office. I wasn't racing had the one horse and was a groom under Louie. I'm a kid and shitting my pants what did I do. I stop at his receptionist, walk in after knocking "like you're supposed to". He's behind his desk, I remember all the wooden bookshelves. I introduce myself, he stands up shakes my hand. Say Johnnie Torre told me you helped Stevie with my furniture I wanted to thank you. AND, if you ever need anything you come see me. Told me come back he'll have tickets for the Meadowlands Grand Prix for me. I thanked him up and down. RESPECT. And I was in fucking awe too. That's what I mean when I say I love the sport and the history, but hate NOW and the industry today. Those times will never come back. Ever. And the scumbags of the game have a new clubhouse to hide too, here. Three years not one has approached me. But I'm glad and appreciate knowing I got to experience the best of the best for a while and learned from that, not this.
