Double the purse.
Jug purse is not double. The Million everyone is referring to includes the purses for eliminations. I’m guessing 2 eliminations going for 200 and final for 600

Read a facebook PRAISING It's My Show Connections for going to the jug.

Please - The connections feel there is no way to be Confederate and the second place check in Lexington is 100K......

If the tables were turned and Confederate went to the Jug - Show would be in Lexington.

Okay for each horse that races and makes the final, they are racing for $200K in one elimination and $600K in the final. That totals $800K which is double the race in Lexington.
Yep and confederate raced in his elim last week for $80k.

And if more than 16 enter the jug then the elimination goes down to around 140k. Draw the 8 for your elimination you either race your guts out of setting for an outside post an hour later

I agree it is good that Its My Show is going to the Jug. What I saw was awhile ago. If you are correct, it is not good for harness racing for the best horse to be racing in different races week after week.
Can't wait to see It's my Show get beat in the JUG!

Double the purse.
To show the world you have a really exceptional, versatile horse and not one that went in hand picked , set up races.   Good thing there is not a straight mile track with a $7;000 purse or the horse would be there.

Shadow Play is a good sire but doesn’t compare to Beach in the breeding shed

Every year lately I hear you gotta race in the Jug to be considered a top horse and stallion prospect. Just looked back to 1960 and I only see 4 winners that could be considered top sires that influence the breed

It may be that like confederate, they protected the horse and skipped the jug??.

Again, draw the outside and pray to make the final. Get an 8 in the final and pray. Why would they bother going to the JUG. His value as a stud is not going to increase because he won the jug. More people will breed to him because he won the jug. I don't believe either. IMS is a nice horse, let's see if he can beat Cannibal.  Linda vs Nancy, Linda vs Bret, I don't like Linda's chances.
