Hey Fuguzzi I am sorry He didn't share his betting with you. As far as cash he had more cash than the other drivers that you mention put together. He didn't flaunt it or show it that's why he had it. He told it the way it was.
[/quote I am not going to argue with you. I was there, in his barn, owned horses with Louie and Greg for several years 78 - 82 / C Abbatiello Stable   Dont know who you are and what peripheral contact you had with him and I really dont care  just telling you the way it was for me with him    we cashed tickets especially on Evening's Choice       BTW and this goes for all the drivers involved   Carmines involvement in the worst betting and race fixing scandal to ever hit the sport didnt do the sport any good as far as the public perception   just another nail in the coffin    yeah I know they were acquitted   carmine  insko  McNutt   Popfinger   Buddy  Coco et al   Acquitted while they were taking 30K a night out of the joint    Remember Anthony had a lot of political clout and friends and that helped Carmine alot   to me he was essentially that eras George Napoitano   Could make em go, but no genius    Btw why would you know what he did or didn't have if as you say he didnt like to show it off   what made you special then  One more thing, if you beleive Carmine bet his own money the way Frank Popfinger or Henri Filion did, then you are really out of touch

Sorry everybody for all the Carmine banter - I will not comment on him after this post   It was said that Carmine was a nice person and a very good trainer - I took issue with both these points ! He was not a friendly person at all - he was aloof and arrogant    as far as a trainer he was awful, he WAS a superior catch driver to be sure and had an aura about him on the racetrack, but that's all. Ironically, Anthony, his brother WAS a very nice and giving person and a very good trainer ?horseman. Nuff sed. Will no longer belabor these points
