There is a nine member board and maybe one or two who are self serving.  The others are doing their best for the horsemen.

Different state, different law. My legal source is very knowledgeable.  The MSOA wants to do anything they can to help horsemen.  They are paying close to a hundred thousand per month to keep the track opened and are paying your health insurance premiums.  There is no stall rent for race horses at the Meadows.  I think the MSOA is doing a great job!
(Even without me! L.O.L)

Really Sammy............ .......MSOA isn't paying squat............ .........the slot players are.............. ......the slot players pay your insurance premiums......... .your retirement package.......... ...your purses........... ......bike insurance and so on............... ......guess you never heard............ ..don't shit where you eat.............. ....tell us about Randy and Bob.............. .
Just love doing the broadcast. Shuley, Chumlee, Paddock have gotten used to the holier than thou attitude. We only work on the show, because we get paid. Dealing with Ringo is a different story.

And, if you work for the Meadows, then the slot players are also paying your salary.

Now, how do we know which one of you has the real story?

Meadows is a viper pit, who can fuck who. Judges aren´t blind they know, and know they have no power to do anything. They talk about it. More broke people their than with money. If they take slot money they will be closed within a month.

I heard the meadows is the only track that is charging to stay! If true, horseman should go to the media!!! Casinos HATE horsemen, pure and simple.

I believe that the Meadows is the only harness track that has year round stables and doesn't charge stall rent.  The money that the MSOA is using is money that has been allotted to backstretch development or improvement.  It is not money that is coming out of MSOA general funds, slot money or Pari mutual money.  Penn Nationals stock has been cut by 60% since the closing of the casinos and the company is struggling to survive.

I’ve raced many years at the meadows made a nice living   The meadows have always welcomed you and always tried to help you regardless who you where I’ve seen people come and many leave  but if you played fare you got your share always was a fun environment to be around but when slots came in yes money was more but the little guy could no longer compete even Upgrading the your stock the cost of help stall rent back in the days when there was it took its toll on the little guys which vanished one by one till now you got the lone survivors   I’m not blaming anyone but the meadows need changes  no one know how to run things way they should   Chased all the gamblers away and don’t know how to treat the ones that are left  they will really have to change to bring people back but to me I think it’s to late   The building wasn’t built for harness racing    No place to have dinner or entertain people if you would want.   Grandstand not built for harness fans never enough seats inside and grandstand should have been enclosed   Try getting a cocktail waitress out there    No shot  I do believe returning to evening races building places to sit inside would be there only shot.  I know racing against big m not what you want to do but why not start at 4 till 7 and t ty to bring in a crowd.  Racing I. After noon been a killer and can’t generate new fans plus have a dollar beer nite. Dollar hot dogs.  Something instead of repeating the same mistake  I wish the meadows luck hope to see it survive but way they do things now I can’t see it     Only time will tell    From a true fan

Casino never wanted racing, just had to put up with it to get license. If any of the bigger stable are involved with the indictments, they will move heaven and earth to get rid of racing. One thing, Palone, Roger, Lumpy and terrible judges (corrupt, killed the place for gamblers. They will never change the building unless it´s to paint the windows black so yo can´t see racing at all..

I would like to give Penn national a chance.  Mike has a pretty good handle on the game and he wants very badly to make a profit.  That is how he earns his bones.  He has a hatchet man persona and people find him stand off ish but he listens to every word you say and processes it on his time.  I would love to see some race office changes and I am not talking about the race secretary  as much as the condition sheets and purse structure.  The horsemen and management should be able to work out a more competitive program.  They did try Sunday racing for a season and it didn't pay off and I think they might try some time changes.  The horsemen who are sitting in the race office actually have no clue. I am a big fan of exotics with big payoffs like the super hi 5.  I also wish that we would do a better job of advertising the big hits when they occur.

Samstar totally agree except race office, Lumpy needs to go, need new blood, new ideas. He will never change, like the voice.

The only change I’ve seen with the condition sheets is the conditioned claimers went from 14, 17, and 20 to 10, 12, and 15.
Otherwise, same old, same old.

I think the conditioned claimers are a hot bed of lack of effort.  Prices  prevent actual claims and trainers want to keep horse in class.  I would stop conditioned claimers at 5 years old.  I am not an expert and I don't pretend to be.  After 5 years old, if a horse can't make it in conditioned races he should go to regular claimers.
