this is not some out of the ordinary issue.  if you try to slip in a legit nw low end horse <>  there's nothing preventing you from getting stabbed by an overqualified horse dropping in from a much more talented class.   when this happens to me, I usually walk thru the paddock, stop at the stall and shame the open horse that is pushed down to the low end.  if it's a horse w/ any class - they usually start crying right away ..
