Ellen Harvey. Daughter of Hambo winner Harry Harvey. Ellen has been involved with the USTA for many many years. She has given many reports to directors at the annual meetings. She may well know the interworkings of the USTA and more past and present directors then anyone.
Absolutely agree!!! Excellent point! While I absolutely, positively agree with term limits-----I wasn't going to speak to it, because I think it's a band-aid. I think the organization is rife with so much and so many negative and damaging attributes, that they need to be completely overhauled and transformed. Term limits can turn into a "work around" to death situation with handpicked candidates/successors, term rotations, and so on. Regardless, yes, I absolutely agree with term limits! It's a very good first step.....but far more is required. As far as Ellen, like many people do, I know her for many years. I worked with her on two committees many, many years ago. She's good, she's a lifer, and she's in it for the sport, the business/industry, the people in it, and the horsemen. I have not always agreed with her, which is normal and means nothing. I am not always on the same side as her, because most often she is not a lay-person. But, Ellen has often been fighting city hall, and sometimes, like many others, ends up on what the opposition calls the "wrong side"-----but that's the way it's supposed to be. LOL.
