The entire situation is Genius by the Carlo Clan IMO!, The meet @ Hastings is nothing more than a live production of a never before seen "Harness Racing game show",which allows the public to participate live! Carlos saved millions by not having to build a new facility also. Not to mention that he doesn't have dozens of Tellers and  maintenance crews other than the Starting Gate company. I'm guessing that one of the perks is not dealing with losers who claim the teller punched the wrong numbers and it cost them money along with everything else the General public will gripe about! I think Carlo should get some kind of recognition from the USTA for providing a solution for all the horsemen who were left without a place to race!

I noticed that the other day, Dink. Lets say the total pool is $1000. The takeout is probably 15%. Thats $150 to cover purses and operating costs if there was no state money. I can't imagine risking my life to drive the race, actually win and get a check for $5. What a sad situation
