Maximus Mearas
« on: May 23, 2025, 08:04:24 PM »
Thought this was the second best 2 year old trotting colt by end of year and  a real hambo contender.  Still hasn’t qualified back - anyone know if he is laid up.  Was late getting going last year so would figure they’d like some good miles in him.  Reynolds is in like 2 weeks

Got real good at the very end of his campaign. Ironically Wallin trains at the same farm as his brother-in-law, Marcus Melander, who is training Maryland, the colt that beat Maximus Mearas S in the BC Final. He was training down as of a couple of months ago. Not sure what he's doing now. Wallin did say his original plan was to skip the NYSS, qualify a couple of times and aim for the Reynolds. If all went according to plan, then the Dancer, and then the Hambo. I hope he comes back good, strong, and healthy.
