Most drivers are married with families, so other than travelling together on the same plane to a racetrack don't do anything together.
They are the head organizations. It's just the right thing to do by their members. Just take care of your members. Tracks should too.
He has been through the a ton of shit, I'm not saying a lot of it wasn't his own fault. That wreck had to bring back some bad memories of his own wrecks, it did for me. Just hope this doesn't make the demons worse for him. Another name added to the lives lost to early, Billy, Shelly, Hal, but not just racing wrecks, car accident's, etc. Not all rising stars, some not stars. Just people in the harness racing community. Scary, but you put it out of your mind and go back to work. Just like generations before us.
