He is a cousin of the Tyler ...Marcus...clan.   Cut his teeth at Freehold and got very good very fast.  Unlike his cousins

Are you referring to that old guy, Gary Dileo who loves fraternizing with the driver's and stalking them as they leave the winner's circle. He's nothing but a wannabe nobody.

He looks good against these guys but when the big boys return, he'll be on the bench. Will have to try Pocono and Chester more when they reopen, but live drives will still be difficult to find.

He is in charge of lining up the various people (groups ) who go into the winner's circle for a photo for a "night at the races".He has been around for a while. Previously, he was in charge of the poker room. He is a nice guy who loves the sport and the action. Previously called Gary "on the car phone" Very well liked by all

I know who he is, but is it really necessary for him to go out onto the track to shake hands with the winning driver and pat him on the back? After the photo is taken, he follows the driver out of the winner's circle chit chatting with him. Maybe he's asking them if they like any of their horses later in the night for wagering purposes. I have noticed he won't go near certain trainers or drivers such as Nancy Takter.

  • dougie: I will make another point if I may. There are multiple horse owners in this group. LUCPARK, rainman2, and so many others. many here are very successful owning horses. I and my partners were not. But I can't believe people who do well in the game and folks like me who didn't cant agree that the horses should be treated humanely. The history of Mike P. might be interesting to people. And folks on Plop might dislike him for a myriad of reasons. I know nothing about him but his advocacy. I think I can seperate the misdeeds everyone talks about from his desire to help these horses.

  • dougie: Calhoun, I am not surprised at anyone who doesn't share my opinion. Everyone has the right to their own point of view. As for whatever acts you mentioned=Ed that he might have committed, it should not draw away from his horses advocacy. Many folks have done lots of things wrong. But despite that, should the good things they do be li=jumped into their misdeeds? Is a person to be judgedf on their worst day or instinct? Like I mentioned before, I don't know of the man. But I have studied up on him. I cannot answer for the things you and others seem to know about him as a human being. But I will continue to support his efforts to make the treatment of horses more humane.

  • Calhoun: Doug, Legit horse welfare advocacy is good. But your hero's current iteration is his 3rd such "alliance." You want to know why, DM me your email. You want to support the guy who baits working people into taking a swipe at him, good for you. You want to support the guy who steps behind a 75 yo man and lets that guy take a punch meant for him, go for it. You called me every name in the book, that;s ok. But your opinion is just that. But it's disingenuous to act surprised that others don't share your opinion.

  • dougie: I think that people should applaud anyone interested in the welfare of horses. Carriage or racing horses. To this day, I've never understood the venom spewed against a guy who seems to want to clean up racing. Some might question his motive for his advocacy. But why would anyone care if the result benefits the horses? If you attack the "messenger' in a cause, shouldn't the detractors have a valid reason why they attack him. Or is it only personable. I never met Mike. But I think his wanting to do the right thing is admirable.
