as a guy from Ontario I cant help thinking....Greg McNair, his father, is a respected good guy from all accounts while his son Doug over the years has shown that he is a big time jerk..........Sco tt Zeron,s dad Rick Zeron has long been a complete  scumbag and egomaniac, but yet Scott is a respectable , humble, decent young man

Accurate observation, the younger McNair has never shown respect for the horses or horsepeople . He can make speed and is aggressive but will never rise to the level of a Dunn or Scotty Z or even James Macdonald because his demeanor will never change

Doug can indeed "make speed" as Mr. Bull pointed out.  He is great to bet the first time he drives one.  Often wakes up sleepy horses big time.  tmbz1  But he is careless and has caused interference, wrecks or near misses more than all the other WEG drivers combined.  With Filion gone, he will most likely continue to share domination with J Mac for awhile.
