Freehold Sports Book Closed Yesterday
« on: July 16, 2024, 07:34:15 PM »
They decided to close the sports book early.  Instead of August 22nd, they closed it up yesterday with one cashier only cashing bets and taking no more action.  If you have a live ticket, I guess you have to mail it in to the Philadelphia site.

Got confirmation this morning from my friend out East . The sports book is closed and out of business at Freehold the first ever to go out and rather quickly. The General Manager told him that the current owners are in negotiations to sell the track and licensing to another operator . The Freehold racing purses looked similar to Cumberland Maine there is no support out there I assume ?

They deserve to close down for all the years looking the other way when Surick made a mockery of the place

NYRA just made their foray into NJ with their platform and content-securement. I wonder what is going to happen here. Decoupling? Beginning of the end.

Placed closed up signage removed as well. My guy told me there were about 15 people betting flats on machines there today . The place  sounds good awful honestly maybe it should close completely. What is the actual point ? Somewhere for 75 people to go to on Fridays and Saturdays and a few bust out horseman race for peanuts ? They probably would be ahead of the game selling those cheap horses and doing something else .
