1/8th mile to go in "OHIO"
« on: June 12, 2024, 01:35:07 PM »
Didn't take long today............ .......Race 2 at the Meadows.......... .....yes folks "The Mouth" calls............ ...1/8th mile to go in "Ohio".........
then can't describe the replay to see that the inquiry is on the 9 horse............ ....to make matters worse............ ...gets the double prices wrong for Race 3...............y ou can't make it up folks............ .then doesn't have the balls to correct himself.......... ....Race 3 eight horse is "JUST ZIP IT"................w e can only hope............. .......
Just love doing the broadcast. Shuley, Chumlee, Paddock have gotten used to the holier than thou attitude. We only work on the show, because we get paid. Dealing with Ringo is a different story.

I watched the replay of Race 2, he never even let people know there was an inquiry, lol. Just kept talking about Noelles Alibi being 25/1.
I always mute the TV when he's calling..

I clearly heard him say there was an inquiry on the 4, as the screen showed.  And then later, when the screen changed it to the 9, I clearly heard him say the inquiry is on the 9.
However he did say 1/8 mile to go in Ohio.

I don't know why people stick up for him, it makes no sense. He butchers races every time he calls them. How do you defend that, IT KEEPS GETTING WORSE. You always say, it was only a couple time today and he is the best ever!!!!! First of all him being the greatest is up for wide debate. NO MATTER WHAT YOU SAY, HE STILL FUCKS UP CONSTANTLY!!!!!

not defending him as he should not be calling anything other  than fair races
but given his age the fact he is somewhat coherent is pretty good

There is no debate here--he has been a buffoon since the 1960s, but somehow the industry seems to think he is good.

Inaccurate screaming for over 50 years hardly qualifies him being in the conversation.

It really is hard to listen to. I grew up listening to him in the 80s, 90s, and he could call a race. Now he can't keep up. I get he doesn't want to hang it up - a lot of elderly folks go through the same - but it's past time for him to do so.
