2022 Meadowlands Pace winner and O'Brien Award finalist BEACH GLASS has been retired and will stand at stud in 2024.

Winbak Farm of Canada is excited to announce that Beach Glass, p,2,1:51.1s, 3,1:47.2, with earnings of $1,189,416, will stand at Winbak Ontario starting in 2024.

Pat Woods, Farm Manager at Winbak, described Beach Glass as "the last son of the legendary Somebeachsomewher e, embodying an ideal blend of looks, speed, and an exceptional pedigree."

Despite limited starts at two, Beach Glass made a significant impact, winning his first three races at Woodbine Mohawk Park. His third victory, by a stunning nine lengths in 1:51.1, was particularly impressive.

Very, very talented colt. Way too much too soon and simply not sound.

Just a question
Do throat and breathing problems get passed on?

Yes, of course, it is a combination of the entire family tree. If they all had airway issues, chances are ding ding ding winner!

Ive read they are NOT. However---bleeding is heritable. Due to a lot of inbreeding including sires that were bleeders--the condition hasn't improved. You can train on Lasix in the UK and Japan--but cannot race on it.
In Germany--you can't breed a Stallion if it bled out the nose-and you can't train on it either. They have seen lower numbers of horses pulling up due to bleeding since they started this program.
