The Cam Fella - It's Fritz showdown at The Meadowlands.
Carl allen and It's Fritz embarrassed themselves in that race

!983 US Pacing Championship at the Big M. Right?

The Allen's talked a lot of crap going into the race which was uncharacteristic of them. That aside, Allen pulls the pocket off a 58.1 half, sprints by, opens up a huge lead, looks as if he has TOTALLY put away Cam Fella, then It's Fritz came to a sudden and embarrassing walk deep stretch and gets re - passed not only by Cam Fella but by another horse for second after the field got somewhat scattered at the start. Marty Allens repeated tomahawk chops on the ass of a totally spent It's Fritz looked desperate and amateurish. It's Fritz paced little more than a quarter mile in that race and people talked about him being a rather gutless speed freak. That's how I figure. The buzz around the track was that the Allen's were so confident in IR that they put the very young Marty on the horse and not Rod or Carl.

first time i really enjoyed harness race
was being rewarded for playing show pool.
'89 canadian pacing derby greenwood toronto

overbet show pool for heavyhitter Matts Scooter...who ended tight fourth giving big show payoffs for others including winner CAMTASTIC Tommy Harmer and runner ups TAKE A LOOK and RUNNYMEDE LOBELL.
dont have payoffs here,,but overly generous show payouts because of Matts show miss.

underrated John Krake w the call

https://youtu.be/b76HDJjYbys

yes Krake was good...and used the 'here they are" call............"borrowed" from the great Jack Stephens..yes im old lol

  • Trigger: I'm retracting...Gold en Tempo punched his derby ticket (60 points), Ortiz hitting left and horse going sharp left is a bit change (see Sierra Leone).  Horse lost by 1 and lost shit tons w/ diagonol move.  I'm loading up on him in pool 6!

  • Bitter Truth: That Golden Tempo , I'm afraid is  a money burner. Gets so far back. Was in range but just hung and raced even in the stretch. Didn't see a Derby winner in there in my opinion.
