The people the own the convenience stores, gas stations, motels, trucking companies,  do you see people that look like those in horse racing? Those people hold the government hostage.
The budget will look after new Canadians before horse people

well, i am not going to argue how the liberals cater to new canadians, that is well proven and is on display more every year
but that doesnt mean horse racing will suffer, current ontario government supports horse racing

the money is allocated from the old slots program, albeit drastically reduced
you know in return for having casinos within the tracks and using their gaming license

They rent space to the casino  on property owned by WEG.

I have been hearing this for 15 years. Yet WEG had their biggest year of betting in 2022.
Sure, the government is going to stop collecting revenue, put thousands of people out of work, and kill and entire industry in their own country.
