FAT: JOHN FRANK ARMY played 16 inch CHICAGO STYLE softball for 22 years. Knew many a great player. MIKE TALLO for example. Made TRIPLE AAA for CARDINALS as a 3rd baseman. Getting to MAJORS or even to be invited to a camp is a ACCOMPLISHMENT. Many a guys I knew I thought were very TALENTED. Not good enough. It a rough venture. BUT then one gets a guy called,MICHAEL JORDEN. No baseball talent. Yet he advances to TRIPLE AAA. He gets there because of name. Costs a real individual a roster spot. Anyhow a few from 16 made MAJORS. Me BUD: MOOSE SKOWRAN, DAVIE NICHOLSEN and more. Can't think of names at moment. Never knock one that never got thru camp. Possible that a couple hits were next up but never got the chance to be next up.
