actually think windsor fair is currently the best track that has a meet. downs  track is good one day hard as a rock the next, real bad when it rains hard. windsor is greasy in rain though, but otherwise very good.

When the Ricci guy owned the place... he would’ve paid off the entire Legislature to get a Casino in that place.  Now.... they can just sit back and watch it close.  Word has it, back in the day, they would FILL that place, esp on weekends.  Now you say there isn’t even a working tote board the day of the Stakes Finals???  Kind of like watching an NFL GAME..  a MLB game... with no scoreboard??!!!!  Why bother guys....

Ricci got things done.  Very sad when the track fell into others hands.  Joe kept things nice not matter what had to be done

joe had his problems. not exactly the best, but he did in his own way try to run the track to get people and horses there. his wife has run it into the ground. bled every penny she could out of it. gets a million a year from casino money just to open. all gets paid to herself or daughter. the few workers are all min wage. even after joe died some crowds came for the night races. when the lights were taken out, the summer beach crowd were gone too. hope that the cumberland  plan thats been talked about comes to life and with some night races. even a 630 pm start in the summer would give people on vacation the day out before the races.

LOL Cumberland not the answer would not handle $1,500 per card in the middle of nowhere the answer is keep Scarborough open tell new track is built very simple if these guys don't get sports betting you won't even be able to find them LOL

cumberland actually out handled scarborough, not counting stakes final day. 30000 on saturday and sunday. scarborough 17000 on sunday. cumberland even has a working toteboard, and could open the resturant/clubhouse. it will be better than scarborough until a new track is built.
