They could have left Standardbred team in tact.........and replace Dawn with Renee Kierans.........w ho burned some bridges when she was let go when they dumped a bunch of good people 5 years ago. Renee knew how to talk with trainers, and jockeys..and always had good questions to ask.Or , another good hire would be Elissa Blowe , who had a similar job at Ft Erie...and often filled in at WDB. She too was knowledgeable and a pretty good handicapper. She , like Renee have moved on to other situations.
