Tuesday night Yonkers’s Raceway judges got it wrong
« on: October 21, 2020, 08:16:09 AM »
Race one Tuesday October 20 the 8 horse leaves and goes to the front but then
sits in the pocket when another horse takes the lead at the 1/4 pole. Down the stretch the lead horse bears out and the 8 comes down the inside and wins. Then the head on stretch shot clearly shows the 8 clearly left the course when the wheels of the sulky passed on the outside of the last 2 pylons giving the horse an unfair advantage. I thought to myself this horse is going to be disqualified and after a long pregnant pause the judges did look at the stretch run. Ultimately, the judges left the order of finish unchanged. Horse plop fans look at the race and you decide if the judges got it wrong. Feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Looked at it-you got it wrong my friend. Yes-he went inside the LAST pylon but the horse was already in front there-and did NOT gain an unfair advantage.

In my view. It was def inside pylons.  But my guess is judges said there was room there already... he would of gotten though anyway. Bonds assesment is completly wrong. He went by them while inside pylon.  But cant answer for judges  this is whats wrong with rule. At judges discrection...... .....

i agree with bond - horse was already by em before the driver went inside the last 2 pylons...no unfair advantage and the right call by the stewards there...

Everyone is entitled to their opinion-BUT with all due respect you are definitely WRONG-look closely. RULEBOOK=“If, in the opinion of the Judges a horse while on stride, or part of the horse’s sulky, goes inside a pylon(s) and that action gave the horse an unfair advantage over other horses in the race or the action helped improve its position in the race, the horse may be placed at the discretion of the Judges.”
When he went inside the LAST pylon BEFORE WINNING POST he was ALREADY through and IN FRONT -PLENTY OF ROOM. LOOK AT THE HEAD ON SHOT--ITS VERY OBVIOUS-EASY DECISION. The fact he BARELY went inside the winning post pylon made no difference-he was in front by a length=no advantage there WHATSOEVER.
Now had he gone inside the second last pylon then the last one and the winning post one--he would have been taken down as going inside 3 pylons in a row=automatic DQ

While we are looking at Tuesday night at yonkers lets look at the 8th race...Georgie gives Bartlett a hole (8 horse) , then nearly runs over him, not just once at the 3/8 th pole but again past the 3/4 .. Bond, analyze this for me...  I did not bet the race, never bet Yonkers because of this stuff.

What a bunch of cheats.
Brennan should be escorted out of this business.
Pulls the head off the 2 to give the 8 a hole.
Then looks like lots of horse going to 3/4 running
Over them and refuses to pull.
Looked more like the fix was in on this race.
Pathetic.

Glad to see Joseph Chindano win a race at Yonkers .. I haven’t seen that too often..

Ok Parked--this is how it works--Brennan and Bartlett are the 2 leading drivers at Yonkers--rather than fight with each other and have real racing-they have hatched a plot that whenever one of them has a horse with gate speed and a chance to get a check-they do favors for each other and give up holes. Its a nw 4-so the idea is to pick up checks and not win--object achieved they both got checks.Never bet nw races unless the horse is capable of going up to the next division otherwise its just in there getting checks.
