Plainridge Observations
« on: June 12, 2018, 10:55:18 PM »
Drew Campbell is getting the most out of his mounts. Seems to fit well and is making Merton look like the 3rd tier driver he is.

Also, which trainers have power down there? Beach? Lafrienere? Greene? I thought Monique Cohen would have another big year but she's batting .180 ??? Maybe her boyfriend Medeiros doing too much coke and banging her daughter has her unfocused.  ngc3 11.wp

Greg Merton is very overrated. Makes many mistakes but gets bailed out because he in many cases is driving superior horses. He gets outdriven by many drivers when stock is equal. Plus, he has a superior attitude for someone who has done nothing special in this business.
Agree!
When he goes around telling trainers that their horses aren’t good enough for him to drive, it’s laughable. Given his lack of success on any type of big stage, I don’t think he has any business degrading others. Lack of class shows.

He said he would not go back to plainridge at end of last year. Wait a minute dummy you are coming off a career best year why go anywhere else? Especially when he gets outdriven everywhere else. Far superior horse power he gets over there too I agree. Needs things HIS way or he is useless.

Serious question here.
I noticed Merton is not listed to drive on Thursday or Friday's cards this week.
He is not listed at any other tracks on either day too.
What else does he have going on that he chooses not to drive at all anywhere?
Another job outside of racing?

Hmmm..is he listed at YR for some ungodly reason? No second job unless being arrogant is a job in which case he would have 2 full time careers!
