Good 1/2 mile driver, takes the turns very smooth and close to the rail...the drive was excessively unnecessary, 125 1/5, 30 sec last 1/4.  Why?

anyone else find it a little odd that this smith guy, anthony's lifelong friend, takes on a stable horse, goes undefeated with the horse and says sorry pal I don't have a stall for you next year. The french guy, another longtime friend, told anthony thanks but no thanks for any stable horses going forward.
