My favorite now is Mill Basin Deli in Brooklyn. Best corned beef and potato salad on earth. And a lot less crowded than Katz's! LOL!

No wonder the plates were dirty  ngc3

Last year and a half they're doing good with their health inspections.

Despite the food, a total behind the scene health and safety sh!thole before that.

I can make any of that, to start where to get the quality ingredients, it's elementary and I keep a clean kitchen.

A corned beef sandwich, $30  ngc3

For the cost of 3 I could make 10, taste the same or better.

They don't keep the sabbath, why don't you talk to them about god's law and their death sentence imposed by him.

Did you put a bid in to buy them, to correct their hatred towards their own jewish god's laws and punishments?

Nope  ;D

The prices for a corned beef/pastrami sandwich are just crazy. You are right about that. My wife makes it at home and it's a lot cheaper!

You're a menschkeit, and because a lucky man to have a wife that can do that.  tmbz1

You're paying for the location, I get that in the city, also not a dime a dozen type food.

Many times those that frequent jewish delis are paying a premium because they are closed from hours before sundown to sundown Friday to Saturday, which is prime time in the restaurant business, and they do rely on not just "their kind" customer.

This Katz's deli goes 24 hours on Saturday, so not that....otherwise the corned beef sandwiches might be 40 smackaroos  ngc3

Ben's Best on Queens Boulevard was the gold standard for corned beef and pastrami.
Jay Parker was on Guy fieri's show for his stuffed cabbage but also showed how he pickled his meets.
Great guy and a great loss to the biz.
Never particularly cared for Ben's Kosher--just not that good.
Milbasin was a great stopover offf the Belt, but since I've relocated, the hidden gem is
Lido Kosher in Long Beach. Rock solid every time!
