If you haven't already, you should check out the documentary DIG! on Youtube, it features the Dandys and the Brian Jonestown Massacre. Even if you have never heard of either band, it was a good watch.

They sold the rights to that song for seven figures for if memory serves a cellphone commercial...then used the cash to buy up an industrial building where they rehearse and film their videos. And all the dudes and dudettes in that video are their compadres and show up in other videos.
