6 day war started with the Remmens. Late in his 3 year old year they sent him to Walter Paisley to race in the winter in Chicago. Walter was one of the first to tow on gate behind truck. He was getting beat in the stretch most of the time. Jonny Z noticed he could trot like crazy behind gate and Walter switched him over the sold to Ray

I have a photo of me in the winner’s circle at Yonkers from the early 90’s, with my uncle’s horse, Sweet Michelle, beating Six Day War in the Open trot.  The 157:0 clocking was, at that time, a world record by an older mare on a 1/2.
