Amazing Catch
« on: January 29, 2026, 09:02:24 PM »
This horse and his connections has been discussed and criticized [perhaps rightfully so ]
on here a lot but gets a win first off the bench in 1:56.3 at Miami for Purple Jesus after a
winless campaign last year. And yes it was cold East coast pussies. 11.wp

They paid alot to have a horse winter racing
Would've been better off buying Bit of a Legend N to breed and a nice Trotter (save 1.5 million)

At least Harness racer can read conditions. Luther clowns are taking a bath on that thing. Anyone still want a breeding? How about a share? Contact Poser Equine. Or is it prolific?

Wasn't talking shit. Just pointing out that the horse finally won. Starting out the year, winter or not,
is a positive sign. Speaking of talking shit, I'm rooting for the horse and connections since there
seems to be everyone against them. Bad buy? Seems like definitely yes but horse is only 5.

Horse could really trot.  Not sure what his issue is now.  Something is definitely wrong.  Maybe Ake cooked him.  I’d love to see him get back to form.  That division could definitely use more top level horses.  to have a horse you’d like to breed in a 15k claiming optional as just 5yo is embarrassing.  But if it is in fact baby steps back to his old form, that would be good for the sport.

Ake knew there was something wrong with the horse or he wouldn’t have sold  him.  Dumb dumb Luther thought he was smarter than Ake and donated 1.5 million.

Even if the horse was perfectly sound with tons of speed he previously had & fertile sperm coming out his nostrils- he would still "give him away" for 1.85 milly

There is no way this horse will recoup what they paid for him. Frankly, if he was ready to stand when they bought him (which I thought was the plan), and somehow was the heir to the throne of the Chapter Seven line as a sire, he would still be hard pressed to break even for his owners for several years. Now, he'd have to perform a water-to-wine-level miracle to eat into that deficit.

It's good he's back racing competitively given he couldn't keep up with ordinary, condition-types at the Meadows pretty recently.  A little confidence might do him some good..but what the hell is their plan for him now? This isn't exactly the time of the season for the legitimate free-for-aller types.

Everyone Or everything that doesn’t work out. Is not dumb

We went to 900 k on him. Erv advised us to stop. It was three of us in partnership. Doug myself and a farm in Indiana . We went 100 k over our set price for him

They wood not let anyone test the horse for stallion duties

We had  three  vets including dr j  for her advice  and look horse over

She’s one of the  very best.

She said it’s a  big gamble at big numbers. We knew it was going to a big price .  . We went to 900 k like I said

Even though

Luther and Harris. Were the last two fighting it out

Sometimes one chases a dream

It didn’t work out.  Doesn’t make them dumb

Just unfortunate

Luc..in at 900 makes you astute. the folks in at $1.8...less so.

There's nowhere to go with this horse right now but down. Unless....how high-going can they make him? A Roadster stud might get them close!

Luther got taken because of his huge ego. Then he tried to con people into bailing him out. Couldn't happen to a bigger piece of shit.

That is 100% correct.  That fucking prick tried to get people to buy shares to offset what he already was going to be a complete loss.  Fucking con artist!
