This Carey is a real piece of shit

Why race.   When u know you ain’t gonna get paid

Ihha powers and other of power have to  get rid of this Carey

He’s no  good
How the fuck is closing a track down any good? I get you don’t like them but when maywood and balmoral closed down they added racing to their track to help. Nobody else stepped up and said we will build a track at that time. Like them or not they did take on harness racing when they really didn’t have to do it. I know I know you raced horses in Illinois before your right. You don’t like Hawthorne great! But I didn’t see you build a track to support racing in Illinois. Your the best roc but you gotta give the Cary’s some props for trying to make a go of it at Hawthorne.

I agree!  Where is all the state money at?
What state money? The state of Illinois doesn’t support racing only politicians and criminals

How in the fuck is it good for the horseman to keep a track open that can’t pay the purse money?

  • dougie: IIB, I think the mayor will sign the bill if it reaches his desk. The optics on this issue is bad for the horse carriage industry. Animal activists are adept to using the media to enlist horror and anger by the public.

  • Ignorance Is Bliss: It's now a bill with city council. Public hearings will be scheduled then the council votes on it. If passed it's sent to the Mayor to sign into law. He has already said he's in. Marte just took over, Bob Holden is the actual author of the bill who retired last year.

  • dougie: IIB, I have been reading some of the work Councilman Marte has been doing on this issue. I think he might be successful with passing the 'Ryders Law" Bill this time around. The image of the horse dead on the street has even been seen here everywhere. If the animal activists can get this on the ballot, who knows how the vote will go.
