the rail in a 3 horse race-off with #2 Falcon Almuhurst [Billy Haughton] and #3 Happy Escort.
Gets the lead easy, thinking they are going to let him lead a parade to a sprint home.
He was wrong. Just past the 1/8 Bill Popfinger takes a shot and goes by The Original 'Sleepy Joe'
in a 30.4 first qtr. and that was all she wrote. Popfinger scores at 35-1.
Kind of harsh on Joe. After all the big Canadian awards are named after him for a reason.
Just not his day.
