They are the head organizations. It's just the right thing to do by their members. Just take care of your members. Tracks should too.

Most drivers are married with families, so other than travelling together on the same plane to a racetrack don't do anything together.

They don't golf together? They don't go to sporting events together? Maybe not on the east coast but I for sure know the drivers at Northfield are pretty close. For the most part.

The drivers with kids are busy with their school activities and sporting events. The East coast drivers do alot more travelling than the Ohio drivers so there really isn't much time to hang out. If there's a golf tournament some of them probably hang out. I think the drivers get along very well but their families are top priority.

They might be the head organization but let's be honest, what do they really do?

YES Aaron was absolutely there! , on the track with the others , he did not have his colors on, but that gives no less respect, then wearing colors he is as devastated as everyone else and we ALL know it can be any of them at any time stop taking your life for granted wasting time on earth on a nonsense internet 🙄

He has been through the a ton of shit, I'm not saying a lot of it wasn't his own fault. That wreck had to bring back some bad memories of his own wrecks, it did for me. Just hope this doesn't make the demons worse for him.  Another name added to the lives lost to early, Billy, Shelly, Hal, but not just racing wrecks, car accident's, etc. Not all rising stars, some not stars. Just people in the harness racing community. Scary, but you put it out of your mind and go back to work. Just like generations before us.

I remember Gregg Haston and Peter Haughton dying at early ages from car wrecks. Unfortunately it can happen to any of us. You can crawl into a box and never come out or you just keep rolling.

like say palone. he is older.  doesnt really need to race but he loves it. does he keep going?  i think he probably will. but i could totally undrstand if someone would not want to and i couldnt blame them. im sure they all will go back to doing what they do. but i would understand if someone couldnt or didnt want to.

I've been watching harness racing a long, long time.  I've seen every type of wreck and some unfortunately with fatalities. There is high risk in every sport where speed is involved. These drivers know it ,but they have to put it in the back of their minds to be successful. This isn't the first tragedy this sport has had to deal with and definitely won't be the last.
