searching for a certain sportsman's park program
« on: January 15, 2025, 12:46:12 AM »
 Does anybody know anybody or any way to locate a program from August 22nd, 1981 from sportsman's park? I will gladly pay for it. I have been searching for this program for a very long time but have had no luck locating it. Thanks in advance for any help given.

That is like finding a needle in a haystack;

1.)  First you need to have an account on Ebay, so if you do not already, create one with your e-mail address and a password (don't worry, you will get NO junk mail because of this as Ebay protects their e-mail addresses.)

2.) Second, then do a search on Ebay using this exact phrase (no more, no less):

Sportsman's Park Program 1981

When you get the results it will say under the search box: 0 results for Sportsman's Park Program 1981 and then there will be a heart and it will say Save This Search.  Press on Save This Search.

It will then e-mail to you anytime there are search results which include Sportsman's Park Program 1981 and you can check to see if they have the exact date you are seeking.

The reason to not add the exact date to your saved search is that someone may list a lot of 1981 Sportsman's Park programs and if your date is not in the title of that listing (and you listed a specific date) it will NOT e-mail to you.

Good Luck!! There ARE about 50 different Sportsman's Park programs listed, but not the one you seek.

 Thank you for the info! I have an ebay account but did not know about the save and alerts part because I don't use it that much.

If it is a certain race, driver, or trainer you are interested in, you maybe able to find the info at Pathway.
If it is a cover story, then I would Email Mike Paradise at The IHHA office. Paradise wrote most of the program cover stories from that time. He still writes stories and makes selections for Haw. I bet he has all the old programs.
Happy Hunting!

You could also go to Ebay and message any of the sellers of Sportsman's Park programs, and ask them if they have any more, and who has bought their programs, and then message the past buyers.
Some buyers just buy to resell.
