De Los Cielos Deo
« on: September 25, 2025, 11:33:50 PM »
6    De Los Cielos Deo    6    7°/5Q    7°°/5    8°°/6H    9/DIS    9/23   1:59.2    32.2   14.20     Luke Hanners    Cameron Kina

no surprise look who drove him on his 4 week win streak earlier in the year...why its Dan Noble with Adam Short the trainer

https://trackside.co.nz/profile/harness/de_los_cielos_deo/1657104/results

can someone step in and give this now 9 yo horse with 600K in earnings and 1:48.3 mark a nice retirement instead of racing him into the ground til he has to be euthanized on the track. Ive followed this horse for years since he was a top 2 year old and was okay but not great at 3 but turned into a hard working higher level conditioned horse for Burke at the Big M and then a couple years ago went out to Indiana and Ohio and had some success. Was considered maybe somewhat of a head case, alot of talent but not always showing up. Remember the break in the NA Cup elim and then pacing out of his skin the last half mile.  Even this year had 3 or 4 straight wins to start the year and then things totally went south, different owners and trainers I believe all trying to milk this horse and hope he has one mile where he isnt a lame as anything.  This horse is being distanced like every week for 8 weeks often showing breaks. What the f is going on. I mean it doesnt take a brain surgeon to figure out the horse doesnt want to go anymore

Does Burke have no compassion for his former horses that he cannot step and maybe scrape enough together from the millions he makes every year to at least send this war horse off to retirement before he is breaks a leg on the track or worse sent to the Amish for food.

One of my horses I use to own raced against him and won a leg against him in the 2 yo. Kentucky Sires Stakes. My horse has long ago been retired and adopted to a good home. I totally agree this horse deserved the same instead of trying to squeeze every last penny out of him.

Does anyone remember if Hanover owned part of this horse when Burke trained?

this is where judges with track veterinarians need to step in
next time he races and he looks the slightest bit off, scratch him
rinse and repeat until the owner/trainer get the hint
veterinarians have the power to scratch horses that look unsound or unsafe on the track

You would think Ron Burke and weaver bruscemi who got more money now than Donald trump. Would buy this horse and put him in their backyard to live a nice life. But that won’t happen cause they can’t make no money from that. That’s what type of people they are !!!

Unfortunately Burke & other big stables dump their broken down horses. Many are put in cheap sales.

Having money and success doesn't mean you have class.

definitely,  the lines on this horse are horrific...breaks at starts, breaks during races, being distanced. Are the judges getting paid off to look the other way.
