Ashley Lendvoy...rising star?
« on: October 02, 2024, 10:15:07 PM »
In just four years----in the business----she recently won the leading trainer title at Grand River. Strong background, starting out with Carmen Auciello, and then moved on to Mark and Shawn Steacy. Her last job before she went out on her own was working for perhaps the most underrated trainer in the business, Blair Burgess. And now she won the leading trainer title at Grand River.

Shooting around 17% winners, and 40% on the board, she looks like she's doing pretty well with limited stock. What's her story?

She is also a VERY attractive young woman; face looks a bit like Nancy Takter, but darker tones.

Good for her.
You're right Seattle, she's a very pretty girl.

She has/had a few Toscani horses.
Gino seems to like the pretty young girls as trainers.

I don't know anything about her personal life and I haven't been to Grand River in quite awhile. However, based upon what a friend of mine said who is from there, she is dating a guy who owns or owned a couple of horses in the barn.

Looks like she's going to have a record number of starts this year (over 200) and while she might have to race a few at Woodbine/Mohawk for the rest of the year, she seems to be doing pretty well. Might be one to watch.

  • Calhoun: IDK about offshore booking wagers on $4.5k tri pools. I doubt it but IDK. It's possible.   As an aside, Jimenez won a Grade 1 on the great Knicks Go.

  • Trigger: Very good analysis Calhoun, moreso from my perspective that Albin Jimenez was suspended and the #2 ride was really suspicious and overooked.  Is it possible that there is action equal to far greater outside mutual pools worldwide?

  • Calhoun: That tri pool was $4500. Net of takeout $3300.  Out of 60 possible outcomes, the result was  5th most likely out of 60 (using win odds to calc). Paid 14 to 1. Doesn't seem awful. It also would have been bet pretty good by the genpop. Maybe rigged for the 3 to win but the tri? I think not too likely.

  • Trigger: The race that everyone is talking about where Jimenez #1 stiffs his horse to finish behind the #3 his gf, but no one mentions the #2 (Lebron) and how he stiffed to be behind Jimenez.  To set up the 312 tri watch the stretch. [link]
