looks like ihha guys and ill racing has had enuff of hawthorne and their stalling tactics..

governor of illinois has told them by spring the 35 mile rule will be elimnated
thus opening the doors for reopening of balmoral park harrness racing again their  and possible rapid

movement on slots and a casino ..

feb14 ihha meeting all illinois horsemen encouraged to attend,

voice your opinion  to eliminate the 35 mile rule,,

This was a great idea...before every Tom, Dicj, and Harry got their close by casinos 1st. The casino going in by Washington Park and the 1 already raking in megabucks on I-80 in Gary will be/are bigger and most likely better than anything racino wise that could be built down the street here at Balmoral. Bill McEnery told me "brother, in the casinos biz be 1st or be broke!".
Any Balmoral rebirth would take longer than you think. How bad do you realize the building is falling apart? Unless they bulldoze and start from scratch (even longer) it's a pipedream.
But hey, let Ira run the place. How could he fuck it up worse than old dead Langley and that simp Johnny Johnston?
