I once saw a DD at Wolverine Raceway that was so small if you hit it you had to pay the track $3 for every two dollar ticket you had purchased whether you had hit it or not! This is because the track had a negative pool! They went on the honor system to collect!

Had one at Windor Raceway..Pay 2.20 both winner payed $ 2.20  Second race was won by a horse call Duffys Bet had 20 claimes on him that night it was a claiming series.
