You understand the USA economy is comprised of states. The grouping of states you cite make up a huge part of American economy. You think of all those states were to have serious economic problems that the remaining portion  of the country's economy wouldn't be dragged down with them. The us economy is all interconnected internally.

Yeah if California, ny, Michigan, Illinois, penn were to have serious economic problems  it wouldn't impact the us economy as a whole. red states need blue state industry and markets and vice versa.

Right, all those states would go belly up but if the Idaho economy dies well that's all that matters.  Idaho and Montana would keep the us out of a deep recession or depression.

What's more the presidency isnt the sole variable in appropriating $. Congress has an equal role and that's not Republican controlled. So no $ are going anywhere unless both parties come to the table and broker a deal.

BW- not sure if I follow ur logic. My comment above was just noting mich governor popularity a few weeks back when a Fox poll was taken had very positive numbers. You understand that's a point in time right - it goes up and down over time.

Now, 2 weeks later,  her husband has done something remarkably stupid a few days back and was put in his place by a marina owner. Something has changed. You understand that I wasn't suggesting that the Governor was likely to retain the same standing in the poll forever.

I would imagine her political standing took a good and well deserved hit following her husband's action.
