skowhegan
« on: August 11, 2019, 08:56:53 PM »
opening day in skowhegan. seemed a bit too quiet.small crowd, infield only half full of cars. races delayed waiting for track ambulance. guess the days of the racing being importaint are long over here. track was hard as usual. get to the front and its over. used to be a great racing strip. i guess its just for truck pulls and monster trucks now. dont know which of those is worse. glad to not be around at nite for either. im losing brain cells just thinking about it. hoping tomorrow is better. even funnier is i came out ahead. i must be a sore winner. lucky llyod back in announcer booth here.

handle 35000 most on track.  half what it was a few years ago. third of what it was 10 years ago. racing is pretty good except as the day went on the front speed was all that had any shot. speed is all ways good on a half but this was an extreme. as i said before until around 2010 the track used to be great. been really hard the last few years. no cushion.
