A few years back I did a Presque Isle afternoon card and drove across the canadian border for a night card at Woodstock NB

What a great day.
Also not to be missed is Fryeberg Fair during foliage season and Union Fair in the middle of nowhere.

oh canada

One of my most memorable racing trips ever was to the state of Maine.....great racing and the nicest people I have ever met! I would love to spend a summer hitting all the Fairs....bucket list thing...buy a few cheap trotters and do the circuit training and driving myself...few more years to retirement  tmbz1
Come with me to the "Darkside",its a matter of life or death!!

I have heard that Windsor is actually less than 1/2 mile circumference, accounting for some very fast miles. Any truth to that?

Fast track, hot in the country, banked well but wouldn't doubt it's a bit short! I just had to cancel the trip to Windsor today, it's the first time I won't be there in over a decade.

Windsor is a super track but a little greasy if it gets a lot of rain. supposedly its been measured a correct half mile. the track and grounds are all ways taken care of well.   today was a hot and humid afternoon card at pres isle. great stakes action. shawn gray came up to drive his stakes horse. almost won, twelve is the better horse though. nice to see shawn back to the fair. the rest of the week is a little light on entries. six straight days up in the county of racing is  hard to fill but a little easier on the out of town stables. the northern maine fair is a great place to race. very good track. beautiful area and friendly people. three straight days the handle has been up. a very promising trend.
