Roger's talent would be bursting eardrums. Larry has a sharp mind and was perfect for the races he was calling. Freehold has been a dump for a long time and the Yankees score was/is more interesting than 90% of their races.

I lived listening to Larry calling Freenold and, back in the day, Garden State Park.  First class all the way.  Hope his recovery continues to progress.
