I am not here to post scurrilous rumors but I have been told by people close that brian sears has problems with alcohol and that his voice is almost gone from vodka. is this true?

Teterboro to Washington County airport back to to Teterboro. Very easy, ya don't even have to take your colors off. Commercial sucks, almost impossible to get from track to track, lots of flight cancelations, airports suck. It's a nice write off

Helicopters would land in the parking area behind the backstretch fence at YR and sometimes inside the sand backtrack at RR   great days to reflect on

Yes, that's all true.   And Monday and Tuesday he's going home to Geff, Illinois to bury his Father who just passed.
Yes So Sad!
I just now googled Tom Tetrick obit.
The funeral was at noon today.
I am just an old horse trainer still going around in circles. Sometimes Fast. Sometimes Half-Fast.

Brian Sears drove for my group’s horses regularly back in the 2004-2012 years. He was always a gentleman even though we basically owned horses worth $30-$60,000 range. He always tried hard and took the time to speak with us after the race. I never smelled alcohol on him. We never owned any stakes horses just overnight types at the Meadowlands. My guess is he made a ton of money and as a single guy doesn’t have the bills that most people have especially with kids. Then his father died suddenly a few years back and I wonder if he decided to help his mother in Florida breaking and training young horses. I also see he basically drives for only a few trainers. That being said who knows how Sears or anyone else can change. Life throws us all a lot of curveballs and some just get us going in a bad direction.

Lets hope the booze excesses are exaggerated. That, like other things though, can get claw hold on a person. For a long time he was superb at positioning horses. Just looks disintetested to me now. And, any athelete at a high level in competive sports, has to maintain intense concentration. Usually not too much difference talent wise in guys at the top.

Outstanding driver IMO and person. Just make sure y’all understand he and others like him don’t pay for those private flights, owners do. His wife sends the bills, divided out for each owner for their % if his cost

Lol. Somewhere on the athletic scale btw bocce ball players and race car drivers. Probably closer to the former.

If curling is an olympic sport then I think we can call harness drivers athletes.

One more thought on Brian Sears. I always felt it was unfortunate that CNN picked up that story about Brian molesting some woman at a bar in Fla. a few years back and ran with it on the primetime national news. Don't even know if he did it or not. It was like simple battery with 1k bail - not a felony and CNN has it all over their news shows complete with his mugshot.
