MAN WAS OUT OF CONTROL

A police officer was critically injured and a man is dead after a shooting that happened after a domestic violence call in Clearcreek Township, Warren County.

Clearcreek Township Police Chief John Terrill said two of his officers responded to a domestic violence call Tuesday evening. A male subject was ramming his wife's car with an ATV, Terrill said.

The man shot one of the responding officers in the head. The unidentified officer was taken to Miami Valley Hospital by AirCare where he is in stable but critical condition in the intensive care unit.

The man was shot and killed by a female officer who also responded to the scene.

Terrill said his department has never had an officer-involved shooting.

Officers from the Ohio Bureau of Criminal investigation are processing the scene.

Clearcreek Township is about eight miles north of Lebanon, Ohio, in Warren County.

Neither of the officers involved nor the man who was killed has been identified.

WHERE WERE THE OTHER HORSEMEN TO TURN THIS WIFE ABUSER IN?

NO WAY SHOULD THIS GUY BEEN ALLOWED TO OWN A HORSE, LET ALONE A GUN.  SURE SOME HORSE PEOPLE TURNED A BLIND EYE, SEE WHAT THAT GOT YOU?
SOMEONE IN RACING OFFICES AND BARNS HAD TO KNOW

SHAME ON ALL OF YOU

The Warren County Coroner's Office said Mark Evers, a 65-year-old horse trainer, was shot and killed during the incident. Court documents show that Evers faced a prior felony assault charge in 1999, which resulted in a no contact order.

Apparently, officers were familiar with the suspect, 65-year-old Mark Evers, and that they had responded to the home for multiple other domestic violence calls in the past.

On this particular night, Evers was allegedly ramming an ATV into his wife’s vehicle. The wounded officer’s female partner returned fire, killing the gunman, according to the chief.
